Ileah Lutz

Hello! My name is ileah (eye-Leah), also known as Propelthemoon Photography, and I'm passionate about fantasy photography!
I'm beyond excited to connect with other photographers who love fantasy, and create some true magic together!
I hope that through this retreat I can shed some light on the possibilities of exploring photography through this mystical genre, give information on how to market these types of sessions to clients, and of course spread a little whimsy and inspiration to help carry you through your own fantasy worlds!

My name is Taylah and I am thrilled to be a part of this event. I am a photographer as well but it won't be my main position for this magical week. I am fulfilled by creating a seamless experience for you.
In my own work I am all about empowerment. I shoot boudoir and couldn't be more honoured to be behind the lens for each and every person that walks into my studio.
I aim to foster a welcoming, safe, and fun environment in my personal work and this retreat will be no different! I am a hugger, a giggler, and a helping hand wherever I can!
OUR HIDDEN FOREST CABINS
Mystic will be hosted at Hidden Acres Farm and Resort in Terrace B.C. A beautiful locally owned property with five two story cabins. Each cabin sleeps up to four and has its own bathroom. The cabins and their massive acreage has plenty of space for both extroverts and introverts alike. Our wonderful host Jaclyn lives just a hop skip and a jump away with her family of five tending to their farm. We can't wait for the memories we will create together here!

Items to pack!
- Camera, sufficient camera batteries, battery chargers, SD cards and lenses
- Hard drive to backup images and laptop if you would like to follow along with some editing!
- A camera bag you feel comfortable carrying for a longer amount of time, I recommend backpacks! I will send a link to my favourite one on Amazon that I use!
- Clothes for warm weather and cool/wet weather- British Columbia can be fickle! A rain jacket and hiking boots you don't mind getting wet is a must.
- Water shoes would be useful for our creek shoots!

MINI SHOOT WITH PROPELTHEMOON PHOTOGRAPHY
Always being behind the lens, it is your time to shine. We are excited to offer an optional mini session shot by ileah herself. The possibilities are endless. Do you feel like a faerie? Nymph? Princess?
Delving into how you want to express yourself, would you choose a darker theme? Maybe something more floral and feminine?
Giving ileah an idea and letting her run with it and watching how she interprets your vision is a magical experience in and of itself.
Are you ready to be in front of the lens?
Your mini session includes access to ileah's client closet, personal styling by ileah, and 10-15 final images.
Application Process
Once you know this retreat is up your alley head to the bottom of this page and fill in the application form. The due date for applications is January 1st 2026 There are only 10 spots to fill so apply as soon as possible! You will hear back from us within 1-2 weeks of submitting your application! If accepted we will send over a contract and invoice. Once you have signed and paid you are officially attending!

A week of laughter, creativity, and connection. Not only is this retreat about education and inspiration but also about fostering relationships with like minded individuals. We have lovingly organized this event with you in mind, keeping a balance of busy days and slower mornings to have time to make new friends, bounce ideas off of one another, and network with your fellow photographers.

FAQ
Is this event open to any skill level photographer?
This event is for photographers that are comfortable with their camera gear. We are excited to invite photographers in any stage of their career, whether you have started charging for projects or are full-time there will be something for everyone!
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer payment plans at an additional cost of $100. Payment plans will start with a $500 deposit. Payments made in full have the benefit of having first choice in room type!
Tell me more about transportation?
During the retreat we will have multiple cars that will shuttle the group around! Airport pick-up and drop-off will be set in advance so that you can coordinate your flights.
What are the housing and sleeping arrangements?
We will be between 5 tree-house cabins at Hidden Acres in Terrace. It is a beautiful location that allows us to shoot on the property as well! Sleeping arrangements will be a combination of sharing queen beds and being roommates in twin beds.
What will the weather be like and what should I pack?
Kitimat can be finicky. Our weather can be sunny one moment and raining the next. It is in a rain forest after all! We recommend bare minimum bringing a windbreaker, hiking type pants and shoes, and a hat. Expect temperatures from 15 degrees to 30 degrees. (50°F-86°F)
I'm new to fantasy photography, am I welcome?
Of course! We welcome any genre of photographer. If you are interested in dipping your toe into fantasy we are here to help you in your journey. The only prerequisite is that you must be comfortable with your camera gear.
Are there any restrictions when posting content?
We will supply a list of vendors and creators to credit on your social media posts. This helps all creators involved and we love the sense of community it creates.
